Participation in carnivals is expected of all swimming members and considered an integral part of the function of this Club. The Club would like all members to support SMNE Meets and the juniors to 'have a go' at the SPEEDO Sprint Series.

The Club encourages our junior swimmers to compete in as many carnivals as practical. This will help improve their swimming and to achieve one of the main aims of the Club, to provide swimmers for the senior schools' swim teams.

Parents Required for Timekeeping and Officiating at Meets
Our Club, as a Member of the Sydney Metropolitan North East District (SMNE), is required to provide timekeepers and other technical officials, when our swimmers wish to enter their carnivals and meets.

It is necessary for all parents of competing swimmers to make themselves available when KPSC is requested to provide such officials. Please bear this in mind when and if you are approached to assist by a Coach or Committee Member and also be mindful that carnivals will not take place if there are insufficient officials.

Should you be hesitant to volunteer because you have not done so before, or are unsure of what is required, please speak to a Committee Member and we will team you up with someone to show you the ropes. Please note that you do not need an official qualification for timekeeping at the majority of meets.

SMNE will be running accreditation courses for technical officials and these will be advertised on our website. We strongly urge parents to consider enrolling in these courses to support our Club and ultimately our (your) swimmers.

Entries - General
It is the swimmer's responsibility to enter themselves for carnivals. Entries are to be made either online (where stated) or on the appropriate entry card and delivered or posted to the Race Secretary by the specified date or as otherwise requested.

A cheque or cash in payment of race fees for all carnivals should be included with entry cards.  If payment is not included entries will not be processed. Cheques should be made payable to KNOX PYMBLE SWIM CLUB.  Please refer to the Knox Pymble Swim Club Race Entry Procedure.

At carnivals, all attending swimmers are expected to be dressed in the Knox Pymble swimming team T-shirt.  It is compulsory to wear the Knox Pymble competition cap.  As we do not have a Club swimming costume, boys should wear the Knox swimming costume or plain black.  Girls should wear either the Pymble swimming costume or plain black.  Swimmers may wear their respective school tracksuit or purchase the Club hoodie.

Where possible, a coach will be in attendance. Swimmers are expected to warm-up together with the Coach and then sit together (where possible) as a team behind the Club banner.  The coach should be the last person a swimmer sees before his/her race and the first person a swimmer sees after their race.
